Hip- Hop Trading Cards
“Hip-Hop Trading Cards” started as a class assignment that quickly turned into a personal project. As a big fan of history, pop culture, and hip-hop, I was really interested in diving into the roots of the genre.
Similiarly to retro baseball trading card collections, “Hip-Hop Trading Cards” can be consumed by the old school fans and new school alike. The concept is to create a playing card collection showcasing the legends of hip-hop’s beginnings. Each card has stats, facts, and discographies of each artist and what they contributed to hip-hop’s roots.
I wanted to keep the feel of vintage baseball cards while modifying it to fit the style of old school hip-hop.
Each card was researched, designed and Illustrated by me.
